Hanlon Park Workshop

To all neighbors and users of Baltimore's Hanlon Park: Please join us for a planning workshop on Monday, September 22, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM. Baltimore City Recreation and Parks and JCLA will be sharing the draft vision plan that was formulated with your input from earlier workshops. We want your thoughts on the current plan.
The meeting will be held at the Mondawmin Mall at TouchPoint,
3201 Tioga Parkway, Suite P, Baltimore, Maryland 21216 @touchpoint
For those unacquainted, Hanlon is a lovely park in the heart of West Baltimore. It serves a diverse community of users from Sandtown-Winchester in the east to Ashburton and Forest Park to the north as well as its immediate neighbor to the west, Longwood-Hanlon. The park's rolling topography and wooded stream distill the piedmont character of West Baltimore. Its collection of stately trees are a testament to a century of stewardship by devoted citizens, community organizers, and civic leaders.
In the Olmsted Brothers' historic master plan of Baltimore's park network, Hanlon figured as a mid-sized anchor park on the Gwynns Falls Parkway halfway between Druid Hill Park and Gwynns Falls park. Today, the park hosts important drinking water infrastructure with the Ashburton reservoir tanks, and it provides neighbors with valuable access to public green space and recreational facilities.
