Welcoming Melanie

Melanie Chu

WE ARE DELIGHTED to have Melanie Chu working with us for the summer.  Melanie is a Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) '24 candidate in the Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to entering the field of landscape architecture, she worked in urban planning with a focus on transportation and climate policy in California. Her interest in landscape architecture was sparked by the experience of living and traveling in East and Southeast Asia for several years, where she observed how history, culture, and environment shape the landscapes that people inhabit today. Her favorite landscape typologies are rice terraced paddy fields in Yunnan, China and Ha Giang, Vietnam.
