Cab Calloway Legends Park

Baltimore City and Druid Heights Community Development Corporation are partnering to create a new community park in the heart of a rapidly evolving neighborhood. The park will be the centerpiece of a community of new and renovated townhomes and will serve as an important gathering space for the community, which celebrates its love of jazz and the arts through outdoor concerts and events. Following an initial conceptual design phase led by DCI, Jonathan Ceci Landscape Architects is shepherding the detailed design of the space through Schematic Design and Construction Documentation and continuing to lead a thoughtful process for engaging neighbors in the design process. The new park will feature a central event lawn, a stage for performances, renovated and new playgrounds and a promenade celebrating the achievements of neighborhood “legends” including the jazz performer Cab Calloway.
