Mount Washington Garden
This year, we had the privilege of working with a marvelous couple designing new gardens for their residence in Baltimore’s Mount Washington neighborhood. The site hosts a diverse fruit orchard on a steep hillside and features a Postmodern, Shingle-style house. Both architecture and orchard serve as dramatic context for new outdoor garden rooms, including a contemporary walled kitchen garden/potager, the north-side shade garden, the rock garden, a new bluestone terrace for outdoor entertaining, a composting yard and potting shed and the cobblestone forecourt. The construction team included:
- New World Gardens hardscapes and planting
- Greenleaf Construction carpentry and tilework
- Industry Ironworks metal fabrications
